Our church secretary normally works about 45 hours week but we do not pay her overtime. Is this against the law? What is the board members fiduciary responsibilities pertaining to the financial records of the church? Who are the voting members of your church? What are the legal tax requirements that our church is required to follow pertaining to this? We simply listed it as a love gift to him. Was this okay? We only pay our pastor in loving offerings and we do not take taxes out. Is this legal?
