We paid a visiting minister $1,000 for speaking at our church. What are the legal tax requirements that our church is required to follow pertaining to this? We simply listed it as a love gift to him. Was this okay?

We only pay our pastor in loving offerings and we do not take taxes out. Is this legal?

  • On the way to the office supply store for the church, our secretary had an automobile accident in her car severely injuring two people. The injured people are now threatening to sue our church. Could we be held liable?
